Andrew Blackman, MD Joins the Great Falls Clinic Orthopedics Team

June 1, 2019 – The Great Falls Clinic is pleased to welcome Andrew Blackman, MD, orthopedic surgeon, to the Great Falls Clinic and to our Orthopedics team. Dr. Blackman is a Montana native and is excited to return to the Big Sky Country to begin his practice in Great Falls, Montana. Dr. Blackman will join Drs. Nicholas Bonfilio, Michael Bryant, Gregg Pike and PA Dave Crossley to expand orthopedic services offered throughout Northcentral Montana. Dr. Blackman will provide orthopedic services including pediatric, adolescent and adult orthopedics, sports medicine, total joint reconstruction, including anterior approach hip replacement, hip arthroscopy and trauma.

Dr. Blackman received his medical degree with honors from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington in 2008. He then went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Washington University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri in 2013. Dr. Blackman completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Department of Orthopedics in Rochester, Minnesota in 2014. Dr. Blackman has volunteered much of his time to supporting local sports teams as a medical professional, most recently volunteering for Wentzville Liberty High School and Priory High School in Missouri and the amateur Rockwood Thunder Volleyball team. While he was in training, Dr. Blackman also had the opportunity to work with the Saint Louis Rams (NFL), the Saint Louis Blues (NHL) and the Minnesota Twins (MLB).  He is excited to bring his volunteer experience as a team physician to the Great Falls community. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking with his two dogs, kayaking and fishing.

Dr. Blackman is a member of many associations, including Alpha Omega Alpha, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
