Elizabeth Farnsworth, MD, PhD

July 24, 2019 – The Great Falls Clinic is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Farnsworth, MD, PhD, pediatrician, to the Great Falls Clinic and to our pediatrics team at the Main Clinic. Dr. Farnsworth recently completed her pediatric residency and is excited to begin practicing in Great Falls, Montana. Dr. Farnsworth will join Drs. Nancy Maynard, Colleen Marron, and Jeffrey Scott at the Great Falls Clinic Main campus to expand pediatric services offered throughout Great Falls and surrounding areas. Dr. Farnsworth will provide pediatric services including general pediatrics, developmental and behavioral medicine, preventative medicine, and in-office procedures. Dr. Farnsworth also has a special interest in global health and providing healthcare to underserved communities.

Dr. Farnsworth received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas in 2016. She then went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2019. Prior to discovering her passion for direct patient care and pediatrics, Dr. Farnsworth pursued an academic career and obtained her PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2007. She then completed a Cancer Research Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Frederick Maryland in 2007 and finally her Postdoctoral Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 2011. Dr. Farnsworth is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has volunteered much of her time to causes that are near to her heart including the Children’s Hospital Infection Prevention Committee at OU Medical Center, mentoring other residents and medical students and volunteering at church. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, especially outdoors, hiking, camping, reading and watching her children play sports. Dr. Farnsworth and her husband, Matthew, and their three children are excited to move to Montana and begin their new journey soaking up all that Great Falls, Montana has to offer.
