LifeCenter Northwest is proud to announce that Great Falls Clinic in Great Falls, Mont. has been honored with a Tissue Donation Referral Achievement Award for their 2020 performance, recognizing their excellence in supporting life-saving tissue donation.

Timely referrals have a significant impact on donation outcomes. One of the most important steps in donation is recognizing that a patient has met referral criteria and making the referral call in a timely manner.

Achieving and maintaining a high timely referral rate is incredibly challenging and requires a strong commitment. In fact, Great Falls Clinic is one of only 26 hospitals in LifeCenter Northwest’s four-state, 230+ hospital Donation Service Area (DSA) that reached or exceeded a 95 percent tissue donation referral rate in 2020.

Thanks to exemplary hospital partners like Great Falls Clinic, LifeCenter Northwest saved and improved more lives through tissue donation in 2020 than ever before, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. 647 total tissue donors in 2020 provided an estimated 80,875 grafts that that will be used to replace heart valves, repair ligaments, treat burns and heal bone/joint injuries.

The full list of achievement awards and recipients will be included in LifeCenter Northwest’s 2020 A

“It is an honor to work with outstanding hospital partners like Great Falls Clinic,” said LifeCenter Northwest President and CEO, Kevin O’Connor. “We greatly appreciate the contributions they make to help save and heal lives through donation.”
