Conditions We Treat:

Comprehensive Care for Thyroid and Parathyroid

We work closely with your primary care provider and endocrinology to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and parathyroid conditions. This includes surgical removal of part or all of the thyroid and parathyroidectomy.

Tonsil, Adenoid, and Ear Problems

We provide comprehensive treatment for ear, nose, and throat conditions that affect patients of all ages. Whether your child is struggling with frequent ear infections, enlarged tonsils, or hearing concerns, or you’re dealing with adult hearing loss or balance problems, we’re here to help.

Our team takes special care to make children comfortable during visits and procedures, while keeping parents informed every step of the way. For adults, we use advanced testing to accurately diagnose conditions and create treatment plans that fit your lifestyle and health goals.

Neck Masses or Growths

We use advanced techniques, including CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, along with specialized biopsy procedures to evaluate neck lumps, lymph node enlargements, cysts, tumors and more. If surgical removal of a mass is needed, it generally can be accomplished right here at Great Falls Hospital or surgery center.

Sinus Issues

Sinus problems are the #1 reason employees miss work at their jobs. We understand how frustrating chronic sinus problems can be when they affect your daily life, sleep, and overall well-being. Whether you’re dealing with ongoing sinus infections, nasal polyps, or difficulty breathing through your nose, we’re here to help you find relief. We start with proven medical treatments like targeted medications and allergy management, and when needed, we offer surgical options that use the latest techniques to open your sinuses and restore normal breathing. Our goal is to get you back to feeling like yourself again with treatments designed for faster healing and less discomfort.

Voice Box (larynx)

Our voice specialists understand how important your voice is to your daily life, whether you’re a teacher, singer, public speaker, or simply want to communicate clearly with family and friends. If you’re experiencing hoarseness, voice changes, or difficulty speaking, we provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for voice disorders, vocal cord paralysis, vocal cord masses or even cancer, if needed.

Throat

We understand how concerning throat problems can be, whether you’re dealing with persistent pain, difficulty swallowing, ongoing cough, or more serious conditions like throat cancer. If you’re having trouble swallowing, we use specialized tests like video swallow studies to figure out exactly what’s causing the problem so we can create the right treatment plan for you. For patients facing throat cancer, we work hand-in-hand with cancer specialists to provide comprehensive care that not only treats the cancer effectively but also focuses on preserving your ability to speak and swallow normally.

Allergies

If you’re struggling with allergies that affect your breathing, sinuses, or throat, we’re here to help you find relief. Our team offers thorough allergy testing to pinpoint exactly what’s causing your symptoms – whether it’s seasonal pollen, pet dander, certain foods, or other environmental triggers. Once we identify your specific allergies, we’ll work with you to create a treatment plan, including options like convenient allergy drops that you can take at home instead of coming in for shots, although shots are more effective. We also specialize in helping patients with ongoing sinus problems, allergic asthma, and swallowing difficulties related to allergies, focusing on long-term solutions that help you feel better and breathe easier every day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to see an ENT specialist?

Referral requirements vary by insurance plan. Our staff can help verify your coverage requirements when you call to schedule. In general, Dr Kluge and McKinley do require referrals from your primary care provider.

What should I expect during my first ENT appointment?

Your initial visit will include a comprehensive medical history review and physical examination of your ears, nose, throat, and neck. Depending on your symptoms, additional tests such as hearing evaluations, endoscopic examinations, or imaging studies may be performed. Be sure to bring a list of current medications and any previous test results including any old hearing tests.

Can allergies affect my ears, nose, and throat?

Absolutely. Allergies are a common cause of ENT symptoms, including chronic sinusitis, ear pressure and infections, post-nasal drip, throat irritation, and voice changes. We have an allergy department to fully address most allergy issues. We have over 500 patients on allergy shots now.

What should I bring to my ENT appointment?

Please bring a valid photo ID, current insurance cards, a list of all medications and supplements you’re taking, any previous ENT records or test results, and a list of questions or concerns you’d like to discuss.
